Role Overview

Assistant Manager – Procure to Pay (P2P)

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & P2P Operations

  • Manage end-to-end Procure-to-Pay cycle, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational policies.
  • Handle

    Purchase Order (PO) creation

    and amendments in

    SAP/ERP systems

    .
  • Coordinate with suppliers for order placement, confirmations, follow-ups, and delivery management.
  • Resolve discrepancies related to PO, GRN, invoices, and payment issues.

Inventory Planning & Supplier Management

  • Lead inventory planning activities to ensure stock availability and avoid shortages.
  • Track, monitor, and maintain optimal inventory levels as per business requirements.
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure timely procurement and issue resolution.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and support vendor onboarding/documentation.

Team Leadership & Operations Support

  • Manage and guide team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of daily tasks.
  • Allocate work, monitor performance, and provide operational support where required.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, sourcing, logistics, and other business units.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure adherence to procurement policies, SLAs, and audit guidelines.
  • Prepare periodic reports on inventory status, procurement metrics, POs, and operational performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in P2P processes.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3–6 years

    of relevant experience in

    Procure-to-Pay, Inventory Planning, and Procurement

    .
  • Strong knowledge of

    PO creation

    , procurement workflow, and vendor coordination.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP or other ERP tools

    is mandatory.
  • Ability to work independently, handle high-volume operations, and deliver within timelines.
  • Strong communication, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing a team (either on-paper or off-paper).
