About This Role
We are seeking a skilled NOC Engineer to join our 1st Line Core Operations team in Bangalore. This role is pivotal in ensuring uninterrupted network availability through proactive monitoring, incident detection, and resolution. The individual will be responsible for executing NOC shifts, managing service desk functions, and coordinating with internal and external teams to restore services efficiently.What you will do
- Execute NOC shift routines and activities as defined.
- Monitor network alarms and events actively.
- Attend calls and respond to communications via email and trouble tickets.
- Perform remote interventions to resolve network faults.
- Escalate unresolved incidents to appropriate teams or external entities.
- Track and follow up on active alarms and pending trouble tickets.
- Evaluate incident impact, prioritise, and execute escalation processes.
- Verify network inventory database consistency and report discrepancies.
Who you are
- A university graduate in Electronics, Telecommunications, or Information Technology.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in the telecommunications industry.
- Proficient in GSM, UMTS, LTE, and 5GSA core technologies.
- Skilled in operating and maintaining SMS & DATA technologies including SMSC, Voicemail, SGSN/MME, GGSN/S/PGW, EPDG, PCRF.
- Familiar with 5GSA technologies such as AMF, SMF, UPF, UDM, UDR, NRF.
- Comfortable working in shifts and collaborating within teams.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
