Position Profile Position Title Assistant Manager HR Reporting To Site Manager Direct Reports NA Location HUL India Position Summary The Asst Manager HR provides Human Resource advice and support to Regional Manager, Site Manager, Operational Managers, and employees in the related HR area in the Site. The position has overall responsibility for recruitment, statutory compliance, Legal & IR, support performance management, training & development, recruitment & search agency, conducting compliance audits as per applicable laws, and training employees on compliance matters. Key Accountabilities Talent Management and Workforce Planning: Partner with Operations leadership to identify current and future workforce needs for white collar and blue collar. Support recruitment and onboarding processes for operational roles. Ensure smooth talent transitions and succession planning for critical operational positions. Develop and implement strategies to attract, retain, hard core employees. Employee Relations and Engagement: Serve as a point of contact for on role & off role employee concerns, grievances, and queries related to HR policies, procedures, and employment law. Promote a positive organizational culture through effective communication, conflict resolution, and fostering team collaboration. Implement employee engagement initiatives to drive motivation, satisfaction, and retention. Attendance and Time Management: To oversee attendance tracking, time-off requests, and leave schedules to ensure accurate record-keeping and workforce availability. Implement and manage attendance policies, including guidelines for absenteeism. Submit monthly attendance reports to the payroll team and internal stakeholders. Maintain CLMS Portal hygiene, tracking daily attendance of subcontract employees, and ensuring 100% registration of CL workers. Compliance Monitoring and Audits: Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance requirements and company policies. Conduct regular compliance audits such as PF, ESIC, Payment of wages, minimum wages, bonus and leave. ensuring submission of returns (half & yearly) under Factory Act, Labour Act, Minimum Wages Act, Contract labour Act, Bonus Act,POSH Act, Maternity Act and or any other applicable act. Maintain Registers and Records under various labour laws at factory or plant for compliance Audit purpose. Industrial Relations (IR) Management: Lead negotiations on collective bargaining agreements, dispute resolution, and grievance handling. Keep management informed about any changes or developments in labor law and minimum wages revision. Promote a positive work environment through effective conflict resolution, counselling, and disciplinary processes. Handle sensitive employee relations issues in accordance with legal and organizational policies. Ensure all HR and IR activities comply with relevant labor laws, regulations, and standards. HR Operations and Administration: Oversee day-to-day HR administrative tasks, including employee records, leave management, and HR documentation. Maintain accurate HR data within the HRIS system and CLMS Upload accurate and timely compliance data on CompAasure portal. Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures specific to operations Provide pick-up and drop-off transportation facilities to employees between their residences and workplace. Ensure proper Housekeeping at plant, canteen, restroom and office area. Monthly checking and compiling of Agencies bills and proceed for the payment process with the help of A/C department. Other Day to Day administration. Safety and Compliance: Participating in Health & Safety Committees. Collaborate with safety and compliance teams to promote a safe and healthy work environment in the organization. Conduct safety training sessions and mock drills with safety team and ensure adherence to safety procedures. Conduct safety inspections of worksite with the help of safety team that includes accident, amputation and complaints Education, Qualifications & Experience Education, Qualifications Experience Degree in Human Resources/Employees Degree in Human Resources People management skills Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with all levels of site managers Sound computing skills and an understanding of relevant technology and systems. Strong communicate skills, both written and oral Minimum 5 - years experience in similar role. Measures of Results Compliance with statutory reporting requirements Accuracy of information provided in reports, proposals recommendations. Timely delivery of services to agreed standards of quality and effectiveness
