Assistant Manager EHS:


Qualification:

  • B.E./B.Tech in Environmental Engineering / Mechanical / Chemical / Safety Engineering or equivalent.


Additional Certification:

  • Industrial Safety (Diploma in Safety / NEBOSH / IOSH preferred).


Key Skills:

  • Implement and monitor environmental management systems (EMS) as per ISO 14001.
  • Ensure compliance with pollution control board norms (APPCB) and handle renewals of environmental consents (CTE/CTO).
  • Maintain records and coordinate for audits related to waste management, water treatment, and air emissions.
  • Oversee hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal as per legal requirements.
  • Develop and enforce safety policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all manufacturing areas (Cell, Module, Utilities, etc.).
  • Conduct risk assessments (JSA, HIRA) and ensure mitigation plans are implemented.
  • Monitor occupational health programs, emergency preparedness, and first aid facilities.
  • Organize periodic safety inspections, internal audits, and safety committee meetings.
  • Conduct regular EHS training and safety drills for employees and contractors.
  • Drive employee engagement programs such as Safety Week, Environment Day, etc.
  • Maintain all statutory documentation and coordinate with local authorities for inspections.
  • Prepare and submit monthly EHS performance reports, incident investigations, and root cause analyses.
  • Support ISO audits (45001/14001) and internal EHS performance reviews.
  • Promote safe work culture and implement 5S, BBS (Behavior-Based Safety), and Kaizen activities.
  • Support sustainability initiatives including energy conservation and waste minimization.
