Role & responsibilities 1. Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of steel coil products, including galvanized, galvalume, stainless steel, and other types. Familiarity with coil coating processes, such as electro-galvanizing, hot-dip galvanizing, and coil coating. Knowledge of steel coil specifications, tolerances, and certifications (e.g., ASTM, IS, AISI, EN). 2. Business Acumen: Understanding of the steel industry, including market trends, competitor analysis, and customer needs. Familiarity with sales principles and strategies to drive revenue growth. 3 . Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical customers. Ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner. 4 . Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze customer requirements and provide tailored solutions for their specific needs. Troubleshooting skills to resolve customer issues related to steel coils, such as defects or non-conformities. 5. Project Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines. Organizational skills to maintain accurate records and track customer interactions. 6. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on market trends, customer needs, and product specifications. 7. Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce). 8. Language Skills: Fluency in one or more languages can be advantageous, especially if working with international customers or suppliers. 9. Collaboration Skills: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, engineering, and logistics teams.
