Job Summary: The Costing Assistant Manager will oversee and manage the costing operations within the finance department. This role involves analyzing and controlling costs, preparing detailed cost reports, and ensuring accurate financial reporting to support the companys financial goals. Key Responsibilities: Cost Analysis and Reporting: Perform product costing, standard cost reviews, and variance analysis. Prepare and present cost reports to management. Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with various departments to develop budgets and forecasts. Monitor and analyze budget variances. Inventory Management: Oversee inventory valuation, physical counts, and cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory records. Financial Planning: Provide expertise and advice to managers and engineers to help them understand financial reports and manage their financial responsibilities. Compliance and Auditing: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and collaborate with auditing services. Team Management: Train and monitor the costing team on daily, monthly, and quarterly activities. Review journal entries prepared by team members. Consumption Analysis: Analyze consumption patterns to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiency. BOM Analysis: Review and analyze Bills of Materials (BOM) to ensure accurate costing and inventory management. Cost Audit: Conduct regular cost audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Costing MIS: Develop and maintain Management Information Systems (MIS) for costing to provide timely and accurate information to management. Product Costing: Calculate and analyze the cost of products to ensure accurate pricing and profitability. Stock Verification : Conduct stock verification and reconciliation to ensure accurate inventory records. Education: Graduation or Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance. Professional qualifications such as CMA are preferred or other such relevant degree in that field. Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of related experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing setup. Skills: Strong analytical skills, proficiency in cost accounting systems (e.g., Oracle, Hyperion), excellent communication skills, and attention to detail. Note: Work Location will be Nadiad
