Job Description

Roles The Assistant Manager Architectural & Structural Design is responsible for leading and supporting the planning, design, and coordination of architectural and structural components for industrial building projects such as warehouses, factories, logistics parks, and manufacturing units. This role ensures the timely delivery of designs aligned with industry standards, safety codes, and project specifications. Key Responsibilities: Architectural Design Prepare and review architectural designs and drawings for industrial facilities. Collaborate with project teams to develop design concepts that meet functional, aesthetic, and statutory requirements. Ensure compliance with zoning regulations, fire safety norms, green building codes, and industrial design standards. Coordinate with clients and consultants to capture design intent and operational requirements. Structural Design Assist in the structural analysis and design of steel and RCC frameworks for warehouses, sheds, and other industrial structures. Ensure designs are optimized for durability, load capacity, seismic resistance, and cost-effectiveness. Verify structural drawings and BOQs received from consultants or internal teams. Liaise with third-party structural consultants for validation and proof-checking, if required. Project Coordination Coordinate between internal teams (civil, MEP, PEB) and external consultants to align design deliverables with construction timelines. Support project managers in technical evaluations and reviews during pre-construction and construction phases. Participate in site inspections and resolve design-related queries or discrepancies during execution. Monitor and track design approval timelines to ensure adherence to project schedules. Documentation & Standards Maintain records of architectural and structural drawings, revisions, and approvals. Ensure adherence to internal design standards, ISO norms (if applicable), and best practices. Assist in preparing technical reports, design briefs, and design presentations for stakeholders. Vendor & Consultant Management Coordinate with external architects, structural consultants, and PEB vendors for timely submissions and approvals. Review consultant performance and manage deliverables against contracts and quality benchmarks. Key Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of industrial architecture and structural engineering fundamentals. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD.Pro, ETABS, and MS Office. Familiarity with NBC, IS codes, and other applicable standards. Ability to read, interpret, and review construction and structural drawings. Strong communication and coordination skills. Problem-solving mindset with a focus on quality and timelines. Educational Qualification Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering / Architecture. Masters degree in Structural Engineering or Construction Management (preferred). Knowledge in MEP design is an advantage Experience 5–9 years of experience in architectural and structural design, specifically in industrial projects.
