Job Description

  • Span of Control: Ownership of Billing, Payables, Compliance, and Accounts Finalization for South Region Offices (Bangalore & Chennai)

Post Qualification Experience

  • 4-5 years post CA certificationDesignation: Assistant Manager Accounts & FinanceLocation: ChennaiReporting to: Associate Director Accounts & FinanceTHE ROLELead and support the Finance and Accounts function, with a strong focus on Billing, Payables, Compliance, and Accounts Finalization
  • This role will be instrumental in ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant Financial Reporting aligned with Statutory and Internal Standards
  • The position will specifically oversee operations for the Central Process and South Region Offices (including Bangalore & Chennai), ensuring consistency in Financial Practices, Process Efficiency, and adherence to Organizational Policies across regions
  • The incumbent is expected to demonstrate sound technical acumen, attention to detail, and the ability to operate in a dynamic, high-performance environment

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The incumbent will primarily be in charge of:Manage Accounts Processing activities including Billing, Payables, and Reconciliations
  • Ensure accurate and timely compliance with GST, Income Tax, and other statutory requirements
  • Handle month-end and year-end Closing Activities, including Account Finalization
  • Oversee internal Accounts Compliances and maintain supporting documentation for Audits
  • Prepare MIS, Financial Statements, and reports using MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Assist in preparing ad hoc Financial Reports and support Budgeting and Forecasting activities
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve Accounting Discrepancies or issues

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • 4-5 years of relevant post-qualification experience in Finance & AccountsCA batches after 2018 preferred
  • Experience in high-calibre professional environments or firms is an added advantage
  • Strong knowledge of GST, Income Tax, and Accounting StandardsProficient in MS Excel (Advanced), MS Office, and PowerPointAnalytical and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Prior experience in Account Finalizations and Audit Support
  • Exposure to finance operations in professional services or legal industry (preferred)
