Assistant General Manager - Engineering

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Engineering Maintenance Management:

• Lead the engineering team to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.
• Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs for critical equipment.
• Optimize machine efficiency, minimize downtime, and ensure equipment reliability.
• Manage calibration and validation of critical equipment as per regulatory requirements.

2. Utilities Infrastructure Management:

• Ensure smooth operation of utilities like HVAC, boilers, water systems (RO, WFI), compressed air, and refrigeration.
• Monitor energy consumption and implement cost-effective energy-saving initiatives.
• Oversee facility expansion, renovations, and engineering projects.

3. Compliance Regulatory Adherence:

• Ensure engineering and maintenance activities comply with

  GMP, FDA, MHRA, and other regulatory

  guidelines.
• Prepare for and support regulatory inspections and audits.
• Maintain all engineering documentation, SOPs, and validation records.

4. Project Management Continuous Improvement:

• Drive plant expansion, equipment upgrades, and technology implementation projects.
• Lead cost reduction, process improvement, and automation initiatives.
• Evaluate and adopt

  Industry 4.0

  technologies for enhanced plant efficiency.

5. Team Leadership Vendor Management:

• Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, and Procurement.
• Manage contracts and relationships with external vendors, service providers, and OEMs.
