Job Description

Role Overview: As an Entry Level Front Office Manager at Marriott International, your main responsibility will be to lead and assist in the successful completion of daily shift requirements in the front office areas including Bell/Door Staff, Switchboard, and Guest Services/Front Desk. Your goal will be to ensure guest and employee satisfaction while achieving the operating budget. You will also be involved in completing financial and administrative responsibilities to support the smooth functioning of the front office operations. Key Responsibilities: - Utilize interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage the Front Desk team, advocating sound financial/business decision making and demonstrating honesty and integrity. - Encourage mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members and serve as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors. - Support all day-to-day operations and understand employee positions well enough to perform duties in their absence. - Guide daily Front Desk shift operations, communicate performance expectations to employees, and monitor progress towards Guest Services and Front Desk goals. - Manage day-to-day operations, handle complaints and disputes, participate in department meetings, and continually communicate clear goals to produce desired results. - Ensure exceptional customer service by providing services that go above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention. - Implement customer recognition/service programs, review guest satisfaction results, and ensure employees have proper supplies and uniforms. - Support handling of human resource activities by identifying developmental needs of others, coaching, mentoring, and providing guidance and direction to subordinates. - Perform additional responsibilities including providing information to supervisors, analyzing information to solve problems, and complying with loss prevention policies and procedures. Qualifications Required: - High school diploma or GED with 2 years of experience in guest services, front desk, or related professional area; OR - 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major from an accredited university with no work experience required.
