Job Description

Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)

  • Develop and manage the companys annual budget by collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate forecasting and optimal resource allocation.
  • Provide financial projections using historical performance data, market trends, and strategic objectives to support informed senior management decision-making.

2. Accounting and Bookkeeping

  • Maintain and update the

    General Ledger (GL)

    by accurately recording all daily financial transactions for the Bangalore office, including sales, purchases, payments, receipts, and journal entries.
  • Prepare and file statutory taxes and compliances such as

    GST, TDS, PT, PF

    , and perform

    26AS reconciliation

    , coordinating with auditors and tax advisors when required.
  • Conduct

    cost center tracking

    , review bills for sales, purchases, and expenses, and ensure accurate provisions and accruals.
  • Prepare

    book valuation data

    , provisional financial statements, depreciation workings, and ensure audit schedules reconcile with accounting books to support timely audit closure.
  • Prepare financial statements including the

    Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Statement, and Cash Flow Statement

    .

3. Cash Flow Management

  • Monitor the companys cash flow and prepare

    short-term and long-term cash forecasts

    to ensure adequate liquidity for operational and financial obligations.
  • Manage day-to-day working capital by optimizing

    inventory, receivables, and payables

    to improve cash efficiency.

4. Internal Controls and Compliance

  • Develop, document, and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure strong internal controls and maintain the integrity of financial operations.
  • Conduct internal audits to identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and potential risks of fraud, ensuring compliance with

    local, state, and applicable international regulations

    .

5. Financial Reporting and Documentation

  • Prepare regular management reports providing insights into profitability, liquidity, cost efficiency, and overall financial performance.
  • Assist with year-end financial reporting for auditors, shareholders, and regulatory bodies.
  • Analyze the performance of company investments, returns, and associated financial risks; maintain documentation for the same.

6. Cost Management and Profitability Analysis

  • Monitor and control operating expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities without affecting quality or operations.
  • Perform

    profit margin and variance analysis

    to identify drivers of profitability and recommend improvements such as pricing strategies or cost optimization.
  • Allocate costs across departments, projects, or cost centers to improve financial transparency and efficiency.
