Assistant Facilities Manager

Role & responsibilities

Facility Operations

• Support day-to-day facility management including building maintenance, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other technical services.
  
• Coordinate with engineering teams and external vendors to ensure uptime of all critical utilities.
  
• Ensure adherence to preventive maintenance schedules.
  

Soft Services Oversight

• Supervise housekeeping, landscaping, waste management, pantry, and transport services.
  
• Monitor service levels and vendor performance.
  
• Maintain hygiene and 5S standards across plant and office areas.
  

Vendor & Contract Management

• Assist in selection, onboarding, and monitoring of facility service providers.
  
• Track contract renewals, service agreements, and payments.
  
• Support negotiation for cost optimization and service improvement.
  

EHS & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with

  Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS)

  policies.
• Support fire safety audits, risk assessments, and statutory inspections.
  
• Participate in emergency drills and training sessions.
  

Space & Asset Management

• Maintain updated records of assets, seating plans, and space utilization.
  
• Coordinate repair, relocation, or setup of office and plant infrastructure.
  

Budgeting & Reporting

• Support preparation of annual facility budgets and monitor expenses.
  
• Maintain MIS reports, checklists, and documentation for audits and management review.
  

Stakeholder & Employee Support

• Liaise with HR, Admin, and Production teams to address facility-related issues promptly.
  
• Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable work environment for all employees.
