Role Overview: As an integral part of the Human Resources team at Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Director of Human Resources in implementing strategies aimed at attracting, retaining, and nurturing a diverse pool of talented individuals. Your responsibilities will involve overseeing the daily operations of the Human Resource Department, encompassing areas such as recruitment, employee relations, total compensation, and training and development. By aligning your actions with the objectives outlined in the Human Resources Business Plan, you will deliver services that not only cater to the needs of our employees but also contribute to the overall success of our business. Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and Standard Operating Procedures will be a key focus of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Managing the staffing and recruiting processes, including advertising open positions, maintaining relationships with external recruitment sources, and collaborating with department managers to make hiring decisions. - Ensuring legal and compliance practices are adhered to during the interview and selection processes. - Managing benefits education and administration to support employee well-being. - Conducting staff development activities and overseeing employee relations. - Fostering effective communication within the Human Resources department. - Addressing employee concerns promptly and working towards maintaining a positive work environment. - Analyzing trends and implementing appropriate measures to contribute to the overall satisfaction and engagement of the workforce. Qualifications Required: - High school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of experience in human resources, management operations, or a related field. OR - 2-year degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related major from an accredited university, along with 2 years of relevant experience.
