Assistant Accountant

Position: Accounts Assistant / Accountant
Location: Makarba, S G Highway, Ahmedabad
Firm Type: Practicing Chartered Accountant Firm
Experience: Fresher to 2 years (as required)
Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / Inter CA / Semi-qualified CA (preferred but not mandatory)

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

o Maintain day-to-day accounting in Tally.

o Assist in preparation of financial statements.

2. GST Compliance

o Prepare and file monthly/quarterly GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9/9C assistance).

o Reconcile GSTR-2B and purchase registers.

3. TDS & Income Tax Work

o Prepare and file TDS returns (24Q, 26Q, 27Q, 27EQ).

o Compute TDS liabilities, verify challans, prepare Form 16/16A.

o Support in preparation of Income Tax returns (ITR-1 to ITR-6).

4. Client Coordination

o Communicate with clients for data follow-up and compliance reminders.

o Maintain documentation and filing work (digital and physical).

5. Other Responsibilities

o Support in ROC filings and company compliances (as required).

o Maintain internal work trackers and meet timelines.

Required Skills

• Basic accounting knowledge & understanding of accounting principles.
• Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic Income Tax.
• Hands-on experience in Tally, Excel, and GST portal.
• Good communication skills and ability to manage client interactions.
• Attention to detail, discipline, and willingness to learn.

Additional Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of MCA/ROC work (optional).

• As per industry standards and based on qualification/experience.
