Job Description

Role Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Article Assistant to join our Chartered Accountancy Firm. The candidate will work across multiple domains including Audit, Taxation, Accounting, GST, Income Tax, and other regulatory compliances. This role offers strong learning exposure and professional growth under experienced Chartered Accountants.

Key Responsibilities

A. Audit & Assurance

  • Assist in Statutory Audit, Tax Audit, Internal Audit, and Concurrent Audit.
  • Perform vouching, verification, sampling, and documentation of audit work.
  • Assist in preparation of audit working papers and audit reports.
  • Perform ledger scrutiny and variance analysis.

B. Direct Taxation (Income Tax)

  • Preparation and filing of ITR (Individuals, Firms, Companies, HUF, etc.)
  • Assist in computation of taxable income and advance tax workings.
  • Draft replies for Income Tax notices, assessments, and reconciliations.
  • Preparation of 44AB/44AD/44ADA tax audit reports and annexures.

C. Indirect Taxation (GST)

  • Preparation and filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, 9C).
  • GST reconciliation (2A/2B vs books), turnover analysis, ITC working.
  • Draft replies to department notices and assist in assessments.
  • Support in registration, amendments, LUT, refund applications, etc.

D. Accounting & Bookkeeping

  • Maintain accounts on Tally Prime or other software.
  • Bank reconciliation, vendor/customer reconciliation, ageing reports.
  • Preparation of financial statements and MIS reports.

E. ROC & Compliance Work

  • Assist in preparation of forms such as AOC-4, MGT-7, DIR-3 KYC, INC filings, etc.
  • Maintain statutory registers and documentation.
  • Support in LLP compliance, annual filings, and event-based compliances.

F. Other Professional Assignments

  • Support in project reports, CMA data, loan documentation.
  • Preparation of working papers for valuations, certifications, due diligence.
  • Miscellaneous tasks as assigned by seniors/partners.

Skills & Competencies Required

  • Basic understanding of Accounting, GST & Income Tax provisions.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Tally, and willingness to learn new software.
  • Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and drafting skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work in a team-based environment.
  • Positive attitude, discipline, integrity, and willingness to learn.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
