Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Area Sales Manager - General Trade (ASM-GT) For Upper North region - Punjab, Haryana, Himachal, J&K join our team. The ASM-GT will be responsible for driving sales and market share growth within their assigned territory. This role requires a deep understanding of the local market, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in sales and distribution. Role & responsibilities Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets and increase market share. Manage and motivate a team of sales representatives to meet and exceed sales goals. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and retailers. Monitor and analyse sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities. Conduct regular market visits to ensure effective execution of sales strategies and merchandising activities. Identify new business opportunities and areas for growth within the territory. Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to senior management. Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to develop promotional activities and product launches. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Preferred candidate profile Proven experience as an Area Sales Manager or similar role in the FMCG industry. Strong understanding of General Trade sales channels and distribution networks. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Ability to analyse market data and sales metrics to drive decision-making. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficient in MS Office and CRM software. Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
