Job Description: Area Sales Manager Equipment Finance

Position Overview

The Area Sales Manager (ASM) for Equipment Finance is responsible for driving business growth by acquiring new clients, managing existing relationships, and promoting financing solutions for equipment purchases. This role involves leading a sales team, achieving revenue targets, and ensuring customer satisfaction within the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development

    • Identify and acquire new clients in the equipment finance segment (construction, manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, etc.).
    • Build strong relationships with equipment vendors, dealers, and OEMs to generate leads.
    • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
  • Sales Management

    • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales executives.
    • Monitor team performance and provide coaching to improve productivity.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, credit guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Client Relationship Management

    • Maintain long-term relationships with key accounts.
    • Provide tailored financing solutions to meet client needs.
    • Resolve client issues promptly to ensure high satisfaction.
  • Market Intelligence

    • Track industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
    • Provide feedback to senior management for product and process improvements.
  • Operational Excellence

    • Coordinate with credit, risk, and operations teams for smooth loan processing.
    • Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to turnaround time (TAT) standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Education

    : Graduate/Postgraduate in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience

    : 3-6 years of sales experience in equipment finance, commercial lending, or related financial services.
  • Skills

    :
    • Strong knowledge of equipment finance products and credit processes.
    • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to lead and motivate a sales team.
    • Analytical mindset with problem-solving ability.
  • Other Requirements

    :
    • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
    • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
