AREA SALES MANAGER (ASM)

As an Area Sales Manager (ASM) in the Generic Pharma industry based in Amritsar, Punjab, your role is crucial in leading and managing a team of Medical Representatives. Your main goal is to achieve sales targets, expand market presence, and enhance brand visibility while upholding company policies and ethical standards. Key Responsibilities: - Achieve monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets. - Monitor primary and secondary sales effectively. - Strategize and implement area-specific sales tactics and brand promotions. - Engage with doctors efficiently to drive sales. - Recruit, train, and mentor MRs for team development. - Conduct joint fieldwork and performance evaluations. - Keep the team motivated and ensure proper reporting/CRM usage. - Identify new business opportunities and customer segments. - Establish and nurture relationships with doctors, hospitals, distributors, and stockists. - Stay updated on competitor activities and market trends. - Organize CMEs, doctor meets, and promotional events. - Ensure ethical product promotion in compliance with the pharma code. - Provide accurate reports, forecasts, and market insights. - Ensure team compliance with SOPs and regulatory norms. Qualifications Required: - Graduate in Science/Pharmacy/Commerce (MBA preferred). - Minimum of 5-8 years of pharma sales experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role. - Strong knowledge of therapy areas. Skills Needed: - Strong leadership and team management abilities. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Analytical and problem-solving capabilities. - Result-oriented with a strategic mindset. - Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
