Area Sales Manager Responsibilities (Construction & Waterproofing Chemicals) 1. Sales and Business Development Identify new business opportunities in construction chemicals (e.g., admixtures, waterproofing, sealants, repair compounds). Achieve monthly/quarterly/yearly sales targets for assigned area. Drive product penetration in key segments such as real estate, infrastructure, and industrial projects. 2. Market & Customer Management Develop and manage relationships with contractors, applicators, builders, architects, and consultants. Conduct regular site visits to understand project needs and provide technical guidance. Manage and expand the applicator/dealer/distributor network. 3. Technical Sales Support Present technical presentations to clients and consultants. Recommend suitable waterproofing and chemical solutions as per site and climatic conditions. Coordinate with the technical team for on-site demonstrations and trials. 4. Team and Channel Partner Coordination Monitor and support performance of sales executives, distributors, and applicators. Train channel partners on product application and technical specifications. Resolve issues and ensure smooth supply chain coordination. 5. Reporting and Analysis Prepare daily/weekly/monthly sales reports and forecasts. Track competitor activity, pricing, and new launches. Maintain CRM and update site/customer records accurately. 6. Collections and Commercial Compliance Ensure timely collections and adherence to credit policies. Coordinate with the accounts and dispatch teams for billing, logistics, and documentation. 7. Promotional Activities Organize and participate in seminars, exhibitions, influencer meets, and site demo events. Distribute branding materials and conduct contractor/engineer meets. 8. Safety and Quality Compliance Promote safe usage of chemicals and PPE usage at sites. Ensure products are applied as per standard guidelines to avoid failures.
