Position Overview

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented talent to join our design and engineering team. The candidate will assist in the planning, design, and coordination of construction projects, ensuring that design specifications meet functional and aesthetic goals while adhering to regulatory standards.

Roles & responsibilities

1.  Design Development

• Prepare and develop architectural design drawings, layouts, sections, and details for wood-framed structures.
• Create accurate 2D and 3D models using Revit and AutoCAD in alignment with project BIM standards.
• Assist in schematic design, design development, and construction documentation phases.
• Coordinate designs with structural and MEP disciplines to ensure complete and clash-free documentation.
• Participate in design review meetings to ensure constructability, efficiency, and code compliance.

2.  Technical & Code Compliance

• Apply knowledge of the International Building Code (IBC) and International Residential Code (IRC) specific to wood construction.
• Ensure designs meet requirements for fire safety, energy efficiency, accessibility (ADA), and local zoning codes.
• Prepare documentation for building permit submissions and assist in responding to review comments.

3.  Coordination & Collaboration

• Collaborate with internal engineers, external consultants, and construction teams throughout project lifecycle.
• Support Design–Build processes by integrating field feedback into design improvements.
• Coordinate architectural aspects of prefabrication, modular, or panelized wood systems (if applicable).

4.  Documentation & Quality

• Maintain organized drawing sets, naming conventions, and revision control per company standards.
• Participate in internal quality assurance (QA/QC) reviews for design accuracy and compliance.
• Support the preparation of renderings, presentations, and material boards for client meetings.

Required & Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal

  English

  communication skills required.
• Strong computer skills, including Office Suite (MS Word, Power Point & MS Excel).
• Ability to communicate effectively on Microsoft TEAMS or other internet meeting platforms.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, STAAD.Pro, or similar tools.
• Deadline-oriented.
• Basic understanding of structural and MEP coordination principles.
• Understanding of design principles, construction methods, and building materials.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
