Roles and Responsibilities: Customer Service:Respond to customer inquiries promptly and professionally, addressing questions regarding shipments, pricing, and logistics. Maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions. Resolve customer issues and complaints effectively and efficiently. Provide regular updates to clients on shipment status, tracking, and potential delays. Pricing:Develop and manage pricing strategies for freight shipments, considering factors such as mode of transport, distance, and cargo type. Obtain quotes from carriers and negotiate rates to ensure competitive pricing for clients. Prepare accurate cost estimates and invoices for shipments. Maintain up-to-date records of quotes and pricing information. Shipment Management:Coordinate with internal teams and external partners (carriers, customs brokers, etc.) to ensure smooth shipment execution. Prepare and process necessary shipping documents, such as bills of lading and customs declarations. Monitor shipments and track their progress, identifying and addressing any potential issues. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards. Communication and Collaboration:Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, internal teams, and external partners. Collaborate with sales teams to identify and secure new business opportunities.
