Role Overview: As a Safety Officer at Piramal Pharma Solutions (PPS), your primary responsibility is to ensure safe working conditions and clean environmental practices. You will be in charge of training contract persons and helpers on general procedures, signing all documents connected with the activities under your control, and following all site safety requirements. Your role will also involve identifying unsafe conditions or acts, reporting safety-related incidents, and adhering to all EHS continual improvement responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Participate and adhere to all EHS continual improvement & line responsibilities - Follow permit to work procedures in shop-floor activities - Use required Personnel Protective equipment (PPE) during shop-floor operations - Report any safety-related incidents, accidents, or illnesses immediately - Review & update shop-floor documents contemporaneously - Impart trainings on SOPs, revised documents, and qualification protocols to shop-floor personnel - Ensure batch execution in line with the production schedule - Coordinate with engineering department for equipment Preventive Maintenance (PM) and instrument calibrations - Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping in respective areas Qualifications Required: - Previous experience in a similar role - Knowledge of EHS procedures and safety protocols - Strong communication and training skills - Ability to follow SOPs and work under pressure - Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred About Us: In the three decades of its existence, Piramal Group has pursued a twin strategy of both organic and inorganic growth.
