Apprentice - Editorial, Design & Publishing

Job Description

The Role: We are looking for an apprentice for a period of 12-months in our Editorial, Design & Publishing Team, responsible for branding and editorial support on S&P Global Market Intelligence content. The main focus is to maintain and enhance the quality and consistency of editorial content by formatting documents as per S&P Global branding standards and guidelines; editing and checking text, ensuring it is clear and concise, and written in accordance with the company style; and giving constructive feedback as required to authors, analysts and researchers. The Team : Editorial, Design and Publishing provides training, tools and standards to help create high-quality products. We catch errors and mistakes, from typos to potential copyrights and other legal liabilities. We guard the brand, flagging and fixing elements that do not align with our guidelines. Through our comprehensive editing, design, desktop publishing and print/production services, we ensure our customers can count on S&P Global. Responsibilities : Edit content as directed by team leads and with direction from managers Check the copy for branding consistency (including charts, tables and other graphics), and make necessary amendments on content management systems, PowerPoint, Excel, Word etc. Ensure deadlines are met Edit, format, and publish reports for style, consistency, and clarity Must be flexible with business hours. What Were Looking for: Basic Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree level or equivalent education (in English, Journalism or Communication). Masters will be preferred. Excellent standard of written and spoken English Excellent communication and organizational skills Additional Preferred Qualifications: Proficient in Microsoft Office Able to meet tight deadlines and display a strong degree of flexibility and versatility.
