Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Application Maintenance Services Engineer to ensure the stability, performance, and security of enterprise applications. This role involves monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining applications, managing incidents and changes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality support and continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities

  • Application Monitoring & Maintenance
  • Ticket triaging
  • Monitor application health, performance, and availability.
  • Perform routine maintenance, apply patches, and implement upgrades.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues within defined SLAs.
  • Incident & Change Management
  • Respond to service requests and incidents using ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Implement approved change requests and minor enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards and processes.
  • Performance & Capacity Management
  • Analyze application performance and optimize resource utilization.
  • Prepare capacity plans and forecast future requirements.
  • Security & Compliance
  • Apply security controls and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and remediate findings.
  • Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and configurations.
  • Generate reports on system health, incidents, and performance metrics.
  • Collaboration
  • Work closely with development, infrastructure, and business teams.
  • Coordinate with vendors for specialized support and escalations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of application architecture and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in technologies such as

    Java/.Net, SQL databases.

  • Familiarity with monitoring tools and ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience:
  • 3–7 years in application maintenance or support roles.
  • Exposure to L1/L2/L3 support environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications in ITIL, cloud technologies, or application support.
  • Experience with automation tools for maintenance tasks.
