Job Description

Application Packaging engineer responsible for managing applications in desktop, laptop, server and VM environments. This includes packaging all Windows platforms, managing the SCCM 2012 environment for managing and deploying Windows software, managing App-V for virtual applications and providing 3rd level support. Should have strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills. Should be customer focus and understanding of client expectation. Role-: Application Packaging Analyst Exp -: 8-15 Yrs Role and Responsibilities Technical review of the Application Packaging Requests Create application package in MSI and/or APPV Virtual format for Windows. Test packages on Windows 10 and assist on Windows 10 upgrade Troubleshoot old internally developed applications and remediate them to work on Windows 10 Development of Custom Scripts and installation logic Create technical documents for applications Publishing the package for UAT Support QA process Validation of Application Packages. Release readiness, update documentation Remediate & Test application packages for VDI deployment. Develop automated scripts to handle custom requirements Development knowledge to develop automated tool for application management Deploy packages using SCCM to productions users, following change management process Remove packages as per the business requirements Provide support on package functionality or deployment issues in production. Troubleshooting and resolving complex and escalated Application issues Engage with project teams as needed to provide packaging and deployment support. Provide support of desktops, laptops, and Virtual desktop environment. Drive process improvements and Automations to increase effectiveness and Quality.
