About the Role We are seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Regional Sales Manager to lead sales efforts within the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) segment across the Eastern Region. This pivotal role focuses on promoting content and services related to overall wellness, mental health, and balancing life parameters for students and faculty. The successful candidate will be based in our Kolkata Corporate Office and will be responsible for expanding our market presence by selling our specialized products to universities and colleges. Key Responsibilities 1. Sales and Revenue Generation Achieve and exceed sales targets by driving adoption of our wellness-focused portfolio: Digital Wellness Content: Licensing comprehensive curricula, modules, and libraries focused on emotional, mental, and physical well-being. Application Subscriptions: Selling institutional access to interactive wellness/mindfulness apps and mental health resources. Training & Coaching Packages: Selling customized group workshops, stress management sessions, and faculty training on integrating wellness into academic life. Develop and execute strategic sales cycles that align with HEI priorities around student mental health and academic success. 2. Territory and Relationship Management Build and nurture influential relationships with key decision-makers, particularly Deans of Student Welfare, Counsellors, Wellness Centers, Registrars, and Department Heads . Conduct compelling presentations and workshops to demonstrate the direct impact of our wellness programs on student retention and academic performance. Travel extensively within the Eastern Region (60-70%) to conduct in-person meetings, assessments, and follow-ups. 3. Market Insight and Reporting Report directly to the Head of Business Development , providing accurate sales forecasts and detailed reports on regional market dynamics and HEI wellness initiatives. Collaborate with the Product and Content teams to convey feedback on HEI needs, ensuring our wellness products remain relevant and impactful. Maintain rigorous record-keeping of all sales activities and customer interactions using the company CRM system. Qualifications and Skills Must-Haves Education: Bachelor's degree; a degree in Psychology, Counseling, Public Health, or a related field is a strong asset. An MBA will be a added advantage. Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of successful sales experience, with at least 3 years selling content, software, or services directly to Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) . Passion: A genuine interest in and understanding of mental health, wellness, and holistic life balance principles. Location: Required to be based at the Corporate Office in Kolkata with willingness for extensive travel across the Eastern Indian states. Skills: Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills, with proven proficiency in CRM tools. Key Competencies Empathy in Sales: Ability to sell based on understanding the sensitive issues of student mental health and the wellness challenges faced by institutions. Strategic HEI Acumen: Strong knowledge of the decision-making hierarchy and funding mechanisms within HEIs, particularly for non-academic/welfare resources. Communication: Exceptional command of English; knowledge of regional languages (e.g., Bengali, Hindi, Odia) is highly advantageous.
