Anesthesia Technician

• Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and sterilize anesthesia equipment, instruments, and operation theater before surgeries
• Assist anesthesiologists during anesthesia administration, including intubation and regional anesthesia
• Monitor patients' vital signs during procedures and notify anesthesiologists of any abnormalities
• Maintain and check anesthesia machines for proper functioning and adequate gas supplies
• Manage inventory of anesthesia supplies and ensure stock levels are maintained
• Clean and sterilize operation theatre and equipment post-surgery following infection control protocols
• Handle emergency equipment and assist in critical situations
• Maintain documentation related to anesthesia procedures and equipment maintenance

and Experience

• Diploma or Bachelors degree in Anesthesia Technology or Operation Theatre Technology

• Valid practicing certificate as an Anesthesia Technician is often required
  Typically 1 to 5 years of experience in anesthesia or operation theatre settings in hospitals

• Familiarity with anesthesia procedures, equipment, and OT safety protocols

• Skills Technical proficiency with anesthesia machines and monitoring devices

• Attention to detail and strict adherence to aseptic techniques

• Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced surgical environments

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Knowledge of infection control and hospital protocols.
