Android System/ Software Architect

As an Android System / Software Architect with 8 to 13 years of experience, you will have a strong understanding of Android Automotive's System/Software-Architecture across all major software layers. Your responsibilities will include: - Strong knowledge of AOSP code base, including extension points and compatibility. - Expertise in Android's relevant certifications such as CTS and GAS. - Proficiency in drafting, documenting, implementing, and verifying software architectures for Android based software (middleware / apps / SystemUI) for development teams exceeding 100 developers. - Incorporating automotive requirements into Android based systems like Instrument Cluster, Head Unit, and Other Displays. - Excellent Android Software development skills. - Effective communication skills with multiple stakeholders to ensure smooth collaboration. In your role, you will be involved in the following tasks: - Android system bring-up and adaption, ensuring stable booting and idling of the system. - Conducting root cause analysis, triaging, and resolving issues with the System on Chip vendor's binary support package. - Facilitating driver integration, adaptation, and development of supplementary software for peripherals. - Generating and interpreting boot charts to document boot times and support analysis. - Investigating critical path services, prioritizing based on specifications, and documenting all activities and findings. You will also be responsible for: - Development, improvement, and maintenance of system components that are not part of the Android upstream. - Addressing system-wide problems and documenting findings and recommendations. - System-level troubleshooting and issue resolving involving both Android upstream components and custom system components to stabilize the system. - Profiling CPU, memory, and I/O usage, analyzing occurring issues, and addressing root causes. - Consulting and providing technical advisory for team members by auditing code implementations and conducting workshops, followed by documentation of findings and workshops.,
