About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Android Developer to join our dynamic team in Gurugram. This role is vital for leading the development and enhancement of our native Android application, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience for millions of parents across India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Kotlin and advanced Android development, with a proven track record of building scalable, robust mobile applications. You will be responsible for the entire software development lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to deployment and maintenance. Collaboration with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and backend developers will be key to delivering high-quality features aligned with our product vision. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-impact platform that is transforming parenting support in India.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Kotlin and Advanced Kotlin, with a solid understanding of Java OOP concepts.
- Experience with native Android app development, including UI/UX design and implementation.
- Strong knowledge of Android architecture components, app lifecycle, RoomDB, SQLite, and Firebase Crash Analytics.
- Familiarity with third-party libraries and frameworks, including Jetpack Compose, Android Profiler, and Network Monitoring tools.
- Experience with app deployment processes on the Google Play Console.
- Understanding of app analytics platforms such as MoEngage, CleverTap, and App Annie.
- Knowledge of ASO principles and strategies for app store optimization.
- Experience addressing device compatibility challenges, including Chinese device compatibility and notification delivery issues.
- Ability to work effectively in a startup environment, demonstrating learnability, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience in Android app development.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of the Parentune Android application, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and scalability.
- Translate product requirements into technical specifications and implement features that enhance user engagement and satisfaction.
- Maintain and optimize the app architecture, ensuring code quality, reusability, and adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces, paying close attention to UX details.
- Integrate third-party SDKs and analytics tools to monitor app performance, user behavior, and engagement metrics.
- Address and resolve technical challenges related to device compatibility, notification delivery, and app performance.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities to ensure a reliable release cycle.
- Stay updated with the latest Android development trends, tools, and frameworks, and incorporate them into the development process.
- Work closely with the product management team to align development efforts with business goals and user needs.
