As a Marine Surveyor, your role will involve attending merchant vessels at berth, anchorage, or offshore to carry out duties while maintaining full awareness of safety procedures. Your key responsibilities will include: - Gauging cargo and bunker tanks, and conducting on/off hire bunker and condition surveys. - Performing Bunker Quantity Surveys (BQS) and investigative surveys as per international standards. - Carrying out container surveys such as stuffing, de-stuffing, damaged cargo assessments, trans-loading, and general condition assessments. - Inspecting damaged cargoes across various categories like household goods, perishables, oil, chemicals, machinery, commodities, steel, grains, food products, medical supplies, art & specie, etc. - Conducting pre-loading and discharge surveys for bulk and general cargo both onboard and in warehouses, including tallying and stowage checks. - Preparing detailed technical survey reports with observations, findings, and recommendations. Qualifications required for this role include: - Diploma in Marine Engineering with Class 3 or 4 Motor Certificate of Competency OR - Diploma in Nautical Studies with Class 2 Deck Certificate of Competency OR - Combined Class III COC (Deck & Engine) - Minimum 2 years of sailing experience as 3rd/4th Engineer, 2nd/3rd Officer, or Dual Officer on merchant vessels - Flexibility and willingness to travel at short notice.,
