About this team: As a Merch analyst, your primary responsibility is to monitor and optimize inventory levels to ensure efficient operations. You will analyze inventory & sales data, forecast demand, sizing and pricing data and implement strategies to minimize stockouts and excess inventory. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross functional teams to improve inventory management process. A Day in the Life: Collaborate with buyers/planners and merchandising team to execute Pricing Strategies & Price Management & Price Event updates, Markdown by leveraging the appropriate tools. Conduct pricing analysis to identify opportunities for price optimization and markdowns. Analyze inventory sell-through percentages and weeks of supply to determine optimal replenishment quantities. Identify slow-moving or overstocked sizes and make recommendations for clearing inventories through markdowns. Utilize historical sales data, market trends, and seasonality to forecast future demand for merchandise categories. Analyze demand patterns, seasonality, and sales trends to adjust inventory planning strategies. Monitor inventory levels, identifying discrepancies and taking corrective actions to maintain accuracy. Analyze historical sizing data, including sales by size, and returns/exchange, to identify trends and patterns. Make recommendations for size range expansions, size ratio adjustments. Document and streamline execution processes, identify the opportunities for process improvements, and automate end-to-end processes. Develop and automate reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to facilitate decision-making and improve efficiency. Continuously identify opportunities to streamline and automate merchandising analytics processes. Enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy while maintaining data integrity and consistency. Overall, the job involves a combination of analytical, strategic, and operational responsibilities aimed at optimizing pricing, inventory management, demand forecasting, and sizing analysis processes to drive business success. Core competencies and Accomplishments: 4 -7 years of experience in Retail merch operations - planning and allocation, merchandising planning, inventory management, sizing, and forecasting Communicating with various levels of management including planning and Buying managers Critical thinking, problem solving & decision making. Business planning, Allocation planning, Buying, Merchandising, Inventory control knowledge Experience in Excel coding (Macros)and Power-bi analytical tools . Must haves: Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and continuously innovates to achieve great results. Communicates with honesty and kindness and creates the space for others to do the same.
