Job Description

Apollo is seeking an Analyst to join its Infrastructure listed non-traded operating company finance team. The successful candidate will be a part of the SEC reporting process for a listed non- traded operating company focused on the infrastructure sector. The candidate will be exposed to various aspects of the company, mainly focused on domestic and foreign infrastructure equity, hybrid and yield investments. This team works closely with the deal team, investor relations, legal, outside accounting firm and several outside vendors. This is an exciting opportunity for an experience Controller to work in the investment management business in a fast-paced environment that provides significant opportunity for learning and growth. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Support the finance team and work with the administrator in the monthly/quarterly financial statement close process for a listed non- traded operating company. Assist in the preparation of SEC filings (10-Q / 10-K). Calculation of management fees & incentive fees on hedge and PE style structures. Assist in preparation of board materials. Complete internal daily, weekly & monthly fund reporting including liquidity and investment metrics. Accounting for and hedging transactions denominated in multiple foreign currencies. Handle day to day accounting matters such as cash management, accounts payable/receivable, monthly general ledger reconciliation, as well as financial budgeting and planning. Maintain detailed summary tracking expenditures across funds, preparation and fund expenditures packages and wire transfer requests. Assist in monitoring SOX compliance by performing internal controls and coordinating with internal SOX team and auditors. Interaction and coordination with multiple groups such as Operations, Investment Team, and Investor relations on ad-hoc and recurring requests/projects. Support the tax teams in the preparation of tax returns and 1099s. Assist Controller in managing the quarterly external reviews and annual audits. Qualifications & Experience 3-4 years of public/private accounting experience preferred, and Chartered Accountant is required. Individual must have strong drive and initiative. Individual must be collaborative to effectively liaise with investment partners and colleagues as well as able to work independently. An energetic, forward thinking, creative individual with high ethical standards. Superior verbal and written skills. Role requires individual to be nimble and flexible to balance multiple tasks simultaneously. Experience using Investran is a significant plus.
