Job Purpose:

To oversee and manage key financial and accounting processes, including finalization of accounts, working capital management, insurance and risk handling, ledger scrutiny, and preparation of MIS and budget reports. The role supports decision-making by ensuring accurate financial reporting, system compliance, and process control.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting & Accounts Finalization

  • Finalize monthly and annual accounts as per accounting standards and timelines.
  • Prepare and submit monthly financials, BRC, CMIS, quarterly balance sheets, and other management reports.
  • Coordinate with statutory, internal, and tax auditors and ensure timely implementation of audit observations.
  • Maintain and periodically verify the Fixed Asset Register.
  • Ensure proper documentation and accounting of transactions in SAP, adhering to SOPs.
  • Conduct monthly scrutiny of ledgers and reconciliations for all key accounts (vendors, customers, etc.).

2. Working Capital & Fund Management

  • Monitor fund flow and ensure efficient utilization of working capital.
  • Track payables and receivables as per defined credit norms.
  • Manage cash flow to avoid overdraft/idle funds, ensuring minimal finance cost.
  • Monitor customer credit limits and take proactive actions on overdue receivables.

3. Budgeting & MIS

  • Support the preparation of annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and overhead cost planning.
  • Perform variance analysis between actual vs budgeted figures.
  • Provide actionable insights to the management through regular MIS reporting.

4. Risk & Insurance Management

  • Ensure risk coverage of inventory and fixed assets through insurance policies.
  • Maintain and update insurance declarations and documentation.
  • Coordinate and manage insurance claims and ensure timely settlements.
