Role & responsibilities Assist in the design and selection of traction motors (PMSM, BLDC, Induction) for 3W, LCV, and HCV EV applications. Support motor performance optimization, including efficiency, torque, and thermal management. Conduct motor simulations using MATLAB, Ansys, JMAG, or MotorCAD. Work on motor control strategies, including FOC (Field-Oriented Control) and torque-speed optimization. Assist in motor testing, validation, and dyno testing as per industry standards. Ensure EMI-EMC compliance and assist in addressing motor-related EMI issues. Support motor integration with VCU, battery, and powertrain systems. Assist in CAN communication setup, creating motor-related CAN matrix and DBC files. Analyse motor-related field issues, conduct fault diagnosis, and support warranty claims. Contribute to next-gen motor technology development and innovation Preferred candidate profile Experience with motor design and simulation tools (MATLAB, Ansys, Motor-CAD). Understanding of motor control techniques (FOC, DTC, PWM strategies). Hands-on experience in motor testing, NVH analysis, and thermal management.
