Job Description

Role & responsibilities : Description: Legal Advisory: Provide legal advice and support to internal stakeholders, including different business verticals, management, and senior leadership. Contract Drafting and management: Ensure that all drafted contracts are properly reviewed and are legally sound. Review and advise on contractual obligations, terms and potential risks. Assist in managing litigation matters, including working with external counsel when required. Provide legal counsel on dispute resolution strategies and help resolve any legal issues or conflicts that arise. Manage the ongoing arbitrations in tandem with the management. Represent the company in negotiations and settlement discussions to resolve legal disputes, if required. Handle or oversee minor litigation or claims, including managing correspondence and legal documentation. Ensure that legal memos, documents or reports are shared with internal stakeholders as and when required. Liaise with external law firms and legal consultants when necessary for specialized legal matters. Manage relationships with external legal partners and ensure that legal services are delivered efficiently and cost-effectively. Coordinate and oversee the work of external legal counsel on various legal matters, including litigation, arbitration amongst others. Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of corporate law, contract law, litigations and arbitration procedures. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders. Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal solutions. Desirable Attributes: Strong business acumen with an understanding of how legal decisions impact overall company strategy. Proactive and solutions-oriented approach to handling legal matters and minimizing risk. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines without compromising on the quality of work.
