AGAPE School & Orphanage Job Title : General Manager Location : Telangana, TS India Employment Type : Full-Time About AGAPE: AGAPE is a childcare and educational institution dedicated to transforming the lives of children affected by HIV. We run a residential care facility serving about 200 children, with schooling from LKG through 10th standard. At AGAPE, we believe every child deserves not just to survive, but to thrivewith quality medical care, nutrition, emotional support, and education. The Role: We are looking for a hands-on General Manager who will oversee the day-to-day functioning of our orphanage and school. This person will ensure that our children receive the care, structure, and education they need, while also managing operations, staffing, compliance, and community & stakeholder relations. Key Responsibilities: Manage daily operations of the orphanage (care, health, nutrition) and the school (LKG10). Lead, train, supervise, and mentor staff across caregiving, academic and administrative teams. Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, health, and child protection standards. Oversee budgets, resource allocation, maintenance of facilities & equipment. Monitor children's well-being: attendance, health, academic progress, behavior. Foster strong relationships with donors, government bodies, partner organizations, and the broader community. Participate in strategic planning, policy development, and ensure programs align with AGAPE's mission. What We're Looking For: Proven leadership experience in a childcare, educational, or non-profit setting. Strong operational skills (facility management, staff supervision, budgeting). Excellent people skills, compassionate, hands-on mindset; someone who doesn't shy away from being in the field. Understanding of educational systems (especially primary & secondary), child protection, health & nutrition. Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
