Job Description

As a Sales Manager - Aftermarket at Smiths Detection, your role involves driving growth and profitability of Smiths Detection's aftermarket business across India. You will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to achieve order intake, revenue, and margin targets. Your key responsibilities include: - Leading market analysis to identify growth opportunities and risks. - Managing pricing strategies in coordination with global aftermarket teams. - Overseeing and coaching the aftermarket sales team to deliver performance excellence. - Optimizing sales processes and ensuring strong pipeline management and forecasting. - Driving key account relationships at CXO/VP/GM levels. - Collaborating with finance, legal, service, and commercial teams to ensure smooth execution. - Ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and reporting of key KPIs. Skills & Competencies required for this role: - Strong commercial acumen and consultative selling skills. - Proven experience in aftermarket sales leadership roles. - Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management. - Analytical mindset with experience using ERP/CRM systems and Power BI. - Ability to work in a complex, matrix organization. Qualifications & Experience: - Bachelors degree in Engineering; MBA preferred. - 15+ years of experience, with 8-10 years in aftermarket sales leadership. - Experience in hi-tech or industrial sectors and managing national-level teams. In this senior sales leadership role within Smiths Detection India sales team, you will be responsible for leading and managing aftermarket sales of Smiths Detection in the India region, comprising India, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bhutan, Nepal & Bangladesh, across the verticals of Aviation, Urban Security, Ports & Borders, and Defence. Your job purpose includes developing and implementing aftermarket sales strategies, upsell & cross-sell sales strategies, win-back strategies, and digital offerings sales strategies. Your role is crucial in building and maintaining strong customer relationships, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, internal and global processes, and growth initiatives. You will closely work with the Sales Director to drive growth across aftermarket sales streams of Smiths Detection in the India region.,
