The Advance Automation Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful automation of manufacturing processes and systems, contributing to efficient production workflows, troubleshooting, and system optimizations. Key responsibilities include: Automation System Design & Development: Design, develop, and implement advanced automation systems for production and assembly lines. Integrate automated systems, such as Robotics , Pneumatic Systems , and Hydraulic Systems , into the production process. Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Oversee and troubleshoot issues related to advanced automation equipment, including Laser Welding , Pick and Place Systems , and Glue Dispensers . Utilize techniques like Why-Why Analysis and Failure Analysis to identify and resolve automation system failures. Manage MTTR (Mean Time to Repair) and MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) to enhance machine uptime. Process Optimization: Apply error-proofing techniques like Poka Yoke and other Lean Manufacturing principles to optimize automated processes. Evaluate and improve system performance through advanced Machine Bring-Up processes. Conduct GRR (Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility) and CPK (Process Capability Index) studies to ensure consistent product quality. Vendor & Supplier Management: Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source and implement automation components. Ensure that all sourced automation parts meet required standards and optimize manufacturing performance. Implementation & Integration: Integrate new automation systems or upgraded technologies into existing production lines. Work closely with cross-functional teams to deploy new automation technologies, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems. Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Lead initiatives to continuously improve automation processes, focusing on reducing cycle times, improving accuracy, and enhancing cost-efficiency. Stay updated on the latest automation technologies and trends in the Electronic Components / Semiconductors industry. Documentation & Reporting: Document automation system designs, maintenance schedules, troubleshooting actions, and improvements. Provide regular reports to management on system performance, automation integration status, and areas for improvement. Preferred Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate for the Advance Automation Engineer role should possess a strong background in automation engineering, with expertise in manufacturing processes, system design, and troubleshooting. Preferred qualifications and skills include: Educational Qualifications: UG: Diploma or B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical , Electrical , Electronics/Telecommunication , Automobile , Instrumentation , or related fields. PG: PG Diploma in Electrical , Electronics , or Mechanical Engineering. Relevant Experience: Previous experience in advanced automation in manufacturing or R&D environments, particularly in the Electronic Components / Semiconductors industry. Hands-on experience with automation technologies such as Robotics , Laser Welding , Pneumatic Systems , and Pick and Place systems. Proficient in troubleshooting and optimizing automation systems, ensuring minimal downtime. Key Skills (Preferred): Expertise in Automation System Design , Machine Bring-Up , and System Integration . Experience with Poka Yoke , MTTR , MTBF , and Failure Analysis techniques. Knowledge of GRR , CPK , Robotics , Glue Dispensers , and Laser Welding systems. Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on improving automation efficiency. Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with teams and vendors. Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail. Ability to lead projects and initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
