Damro Furniture is a leading and trusted name in the furniture industry, known for quality, affordability, and stylish solutions for homes and offices. We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Assistant to support our finance operations at our Hyderabad branch.

Job Overview:
The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for providing day-to-day support to the accounts department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. This role is crucial for maintaining orderly financial records and supporting the branch's accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping & Invoicing:
  • Process sales invoices, purchase orders, and delivery challans accurately.
  • Maintain records of daily cash, cheque, and digital payment receipts.
  • Handle customer and vendor payments and reconcile them with bank statements.
  • Prepare and issue receipts, and manage petty cash transactions.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable:
  • Assist in processing vendor bills and ensuring timely payments.
  • Follow up on customer payments and manage aging reports for outstanding debts.
  • Reconcile statements from suppliers and customers.
  • Bank & Cash Reconciliation:
  • Perform daily/weekly bank reconciliation for the branch accounts.
  • Monitor cash flow and prepare daily cash position reports.
  • Record Maintenance & Documentation:
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date physical and digital filing of all accounting vouchers, invoices, and payment records.
  • Assist in preparing monthly TDS workings and supporting documents.
  • Support in inventory accounting related to furniture stock.
  • Reporting & Support:
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales, expense, and collection reports.
  • Assist the Branch Accountant in preparing data for monthly profit & loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Provide administrative support to the accounts department as needed.
  • Coordinate with sales and warehouse teams for invoice and stock verification.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com), or a Diploma in Accounting/Finance.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience as an Accounts Assistant, Cashier, or similar role. Freshers with strong academic records and a solid understanding of accounting principles may also be considered.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Tally ERP 9/Prime is mandatory.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Excel is essential for VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
  • Familiarity with basic GST and TDS regulations.
  • Personal Attributes:
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong numerical and data entry skills.
  • Honesty and integrity in handling financial data.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills in Telugu and English.
