Job Description

1. Financial Management

  • Manage budgets, cash flow, and financial planning.
  • Ensure effective fund management.

2. Accounting Operations

  • Oversee daily accounting, AP/AR, ledger, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure timely monthly and yearly closing.

3. Statutory Compliance

  • Ensure GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and other filings are done on time.
  • Coordinate with auditors and maintain full compliance.

4. Financial Reporting

  • Prepare P&L, Balance Sheet, MIS, and cash-flow reports.
  • Provide financial insights to management.

5. Cost Control

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Implement financial controls and SOPs.

6. Team Management

  • Lead and supervise the finance/accounts team.
  • Assign tasks and monitor performance.

7. Vendor & Payments

  • Manage vendor payments, bills, and documentation.
  • Maintain good banking and vendor relations.

8. Taxation & Strategy

  • Handle direct/indirect taxes and tax planning.
  • Support management with financial strategies.

9. Asset & Inventory

  • Maintain asset register and support inventory valuation.

10. Risk Management

  • Identify financial risks and ensure data security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare journal entries and ensure proper documentation and approvals.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Analyze account variances and prepare financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP or IFRS and internal accounting policies.
  • Assist in audits by providing supporting documentation and account analysis.
  • Collaborate with AP, AR, Payroll, and other departments to ensure accurate financial data.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Maintain the chart of accounts and assist in system updates or ERP migrations if needed.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and support automation efforts.

Preferred:

  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 815 years of accounting experience, preferably in general ledger or financial reporting.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and standards (GAAP or IFRS).
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.).
