Job Description: Accountant (D2C Brand)Location: Bengaluru Company: Anantha Living Department: Finance & Operations Role Type: Full-time 🧘‍♂️ Role OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to manage the financial operations of our fast-growing D2C spiritual lifestyle brand. This role ensures smooth day-to-day accounting, accurate financial reporting, GST compliance, inventory reconciliation, vendor payments, and coordination with internal & external teams. The ideal candidate has strong experience in D2C, e-commerce, retail accounting, and excellent knowledge of GST, TDS, and financial systems. 📝 Key Responsibilities1. Daily Accounting & BookkeepingMaintain accurate accounting records in Tally/Zoho Books/QuickBooks. Post daily sales entries from Shopify/Website/Marketplaces. Reconcile payment gateways (Razorpay, Cashfree, PayTM, COD partners). Handle day-to-day entries: purchases, expenses, payroll, petty cash. 2. D2C & E-Commerce Financial OperationsTrack revenue from multiple channels: Website (Shopify / WooCommerce) Marketplace platforms (Amazon, Flipkart — if applicable) Offline retail/pop-ups Reconcile order cancellations, returns (RTO), refunds, and replace orders. Coordinate with operations team for inventory-inventory-out updates. 3. GST, TDS & Statutory CompliancePrepare monthly GST working (GSTR1, GSTR3B). Maintain HSN-wise sales and purchase data. Ensure accurate TDS deduction & timely filing. Coordinate with CA for financial audits. 4. Inventory & CostingReconcile inventory with warehouse team monthly. Track SKU-level cost of goods sold (COGS). Update BOM costing for new products. Report on ageing inventory, fast-moving & slow-moving SKUs. 5. Vendor & Payment ManagementMaintain vendor ledger with purchase orders, GRN, and invoices. Process vendor payments on time. Negotiate billing corrections, credit notes, return claims. 6. Financial Reporting & AnalysisPrepare: P&L statement Cash flow statement Weekly/monthly MIS reports Sales reports (channel-wise, product-wise) Monitor budgets, track deviations, flag red flags proactively. Assist founders with strategic financial insights. 📌 Required Skills & QualificationsEducational BackgroundB.Com / M.Com / MBA / CA Inter preferred. Technical SkillsProficiency in Tally / Zoho Books / QuickBooks. Strong Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables). Understanding of Shopify backend, marketplace dashboards. Knowledge of GST, TDS, and Indian compliance rules. Soft SkillsHigh attention to detail and accuracy. Ownership mindset and reliability. Strong communication and vendor-handling skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced D2C environment. 💼 Experience2–5 years in accounting. Experience in D2C/e-commerce retail preferred.
