Summary: Supports the finance department in day-to-day accounting tasks, including data entry, reconciliations, financial reporting assistance, and basic analysis. Ensures accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of routine accounting operations. Key Responsibilities: • Record daily financial transactions in accounting software. • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing. • Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and general ledger entries. • Support month-end and year-end closing activities. • Maintain organized financial records and documentation. • Prepare basic financial reports and summaries for internal review. • Assist with audits by providing required data and documentation. • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. • Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal teams for payment or billing clarifications. • Support senior accountants with ad-hoc tasks. Required Skills and Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, commerce, or related field. • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS depending on region). • Proficiency with Excel and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP). • Attention to detail and high accuracy. • Good analytical and numerical skills. • Ability to manage time and meet deadlines. • Clear written and verbal communication. Preferred Qualifications (Optional): • Internship or project experience in accounting or finance. • Knowledge of GST/TDS (India) or equivalent regional tax frameworks. • Experience with ERP systems.
