Job Responsibilities:

  • Financial Record Keeping:

    Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions including receipts, payments, donations, and grants.

  • Budget Management:

    Prepare, monitor, and manage budgets for the destitute home and ensure proper allocation of funds for daily operations, supplies, and programs.

  • Expense Tracking:

    Record and verify all expenditures, ensuring they comply with organizational policies and donor requirements.

  • Bank and Cash Management:

    Handle petty cash, maintain bank accounts, reconcile bank statements, and ensure timely deposits and withdrawals.

  • Payroll Processing:

    Prepare and process staff salaries, stipends, and other payments, ensuring compliance with statutory deductions (EPF, ESI, TDS, etc.).

  • Donor Fund Management:

    Track donor contributions and prepare utilization reports as per donor or grant guidelines.

  • Audit and Compliance:

    Coordinate with auditors for internal and external audits, maintain supporting documentation, and ensure adherence to financial regulations and NGO compliance requirements.

  • Procurement Coordination:

    Oversee purchase requests, verify bills, and ensure proper documentation and approvals for all procurements.

  • Monthly and Annual Reporting:

    Prepare financial reports, balance sheets, and statements of income and expenditure for management and trustees.

  • Support to Administration:

    Assist in administrative duties related to finance, such as vendor management, asset registers, and inventory control.

  • Requirements

    Required Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and NGO financial management.

    • Tally

    • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.

    • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.

    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling funds.

    • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
