Accountant

An exciting full-time opportunity in a real estate company in Goregaon West. REAL ESTATE BACKGROUND PREFERABLE. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate books of accounts (day-to-day bookkeeping, vouchers, ledgers, trial balance). Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor reconciliation and follow-up for outstanding payments. Prepare and verify invoices, receipts, debit/credit notes, and journal entries. Reconcile bank statements, petty cash, and credit card transactions. Monitor project-wise expenses and coordinate with site/project teams. Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules. Support management in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Coordinate with banks for loans, facilities, and fund flow management. Day-to-Day Activities Record all daily financial transactions in accounting software (e.g., Tally/Zoho/ERP). Update cash/bank book and reconcile with actual balances. Check bills and invoices for accuracy before processing payments. Follow up with vendors and customers for payments and update outstanding lists. File and organize vouchers, challans, and financial documents. Prepare daily expense and payment reports for management. Calculate GST/TDS liability and prepare challans for payment. Monitor and update project expense sheets (if applicable). Liaise with internal teams to collect financial data for reporting. Assist in payroll processing and employee reimbursement claims. Keep track of due dates for statutory filings and ensure compliance. Support monthly and quarterly closing of accounts. Additionally Sprints to the bank, handling accounts Drafting agreements, letters and emails In-Depth knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel Making comparative statements of different vendors Maintaining RERA compliances Data management, filing of documents Managing all computer related work and back-end office work Knowledge and experience of real estate industry is a bonus.
