Job Description

Job Summary

Gyanarthi College, Kashipur, is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accountant to manage daily financial transactions, maintain records, and support smooth fee and payment operations. The candidate should be proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office, with good communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial and accounting records of the college.
Manage bookkeeping, ledgers, and reconciliations.
Prepare financial statements and assist in budgeting.
Handle fee collection, follow-ups, and payment reminders to students or guardians.
Manage payroll, vendor payments, and expense tracking.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and assist during audits.
Coordinate with administrative staff for financial documentation and approvals.
Call students and parents to remind them about pending fees.

Skills & Competencies

Proficiency in Tally or similar accounting software.
Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and financial statements.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and time-management skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks responsibly.

Qualifications & Experience

B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification in Accounting or Finance.
2–3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in an educational institution.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,861.26 - ₹15,000.00 per month
