Account Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day accounting in Tally/other accounting software, including data entry, ledger posting and voucher management.
  
• Prepare and finalize monthly/quarterly financial statements, profit & loss accounts, balance sheets and schedules.
  
• Handle bank reconciliation, vendor/creditor reconciliation, debtor follow-ups and routine financial tracking.
  
• Assist in preparing working papers for statutory audit, tax audit and internal audit assignments.
  
• Manage TDS calculations, TDS returns, GST working, GST returns and other statutory compliance documentation.
  
• Support preparation of income-tax files, supporting documents, and coordinate with the senior team during assessments or submissions.
  
• Coordinate with clients for collection of accounting data, clarifications, invoices, statements and compliance-related requirements.
  
• Ensure accuracy, timely reporting and proper documentation of all accounting tasks.

• Maintain confidentiality, follow professional standards and ensure proper filing and record-keeping.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent academic background.
  
• 14 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping or compliance (freshers with strong fundamentals may also be considered).
  
• Good working knowledge of

  Tally ERP / Tally Prime

  , MS Excel and basic accounting tools.
• Strong understanding of journal entries, ledgers, reconciliations, basic GST/TDS concepts and financial statements.
  
• Ability to work under guidance but also take ownership of assigned tasks.
  
• Good communication skills and a professional, client-friendly approach.
  
• Accuracy, attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility.
  
• Willingness to learn taxation, audit processes and compliance work under senior CA mentorship.
  
• Preference will be given to candidates residing in Pune or willing to relocate.
