Account Executive for E-commerce Industry

Responsibilities

• Transaction management: Record and manage daily accounting entries, including journal vouchers, debit notes, and credit notes.
• E-commerce reconciliation: Reconcile payments from e-commerce platforms like Amazon and Shopify with sales invoices.
• Expense tracking: Monitor and verify marketplace commissions, shipping charges, returns, and other deductions.
• Inventory and COGS: Maintain accurate records of cost of goods sold (COGS) and inventory valuation.
• Tax compliance: Ensure compliance with statutory requirements like GST and TDS, process tax payments, and file returns.
• Financial reporting: Prepare periodic financial statements, such as balance sheets and income statements.
• Month- and year-end close: Support and execute closing activities at the end of each period.
• Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage vendor payments and track customer payments.
• Payroll: Process payroll, including calculating wages and ensuring compliance with payroll tax regulations.
• Auditor support: Coordinate with internal and external auditors for accounting-related requirements.

Required skills and qualifications

• Proficiency in accounting software like Tally, QuickBooks, or Xero.
• Strong understanding of e-commerce financial operations, including revenue recognition and inventory valuation.
• Familiarity with sales tax compliance across multiple states and multi-currency transactions.
• Experience with multiple sales channels and platforms is often preferred.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with fast-paced, high-growth businesses.
• A customer-centric mindset, with the ability to act as a financial advisor.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹36,247.85 per month
