Account Assistant

The Accounts Assistant supports the finance and accounting department by performing daily accounting tasks, maintaining financial records, and ensuring accuracy in billing, bookkeeping, and reporting. This role requires strong attention to detail, good numerical skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities1. Financial RecordkeepingAssist in maintaining and updating financial records, ledgers, and journals. Enter and verify financial data in accounting systems. Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner. 2. Accounts Payable & ReceivableProcess vendor invoices, expense claims, and payments. Prepare customer invoices and follow up on outstanding receivables. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies. 3. Bank & Account Reconciliation Assist in monthly bank reconciliations. Reconcile financial accounts and resolve variances. 4. Reporting & Documentation Assist in preparing financial reports, budgets, and month-end closing tasks. Organize and maintain accounting documents and records. Support the preparation of audit files when required. 5. Administrative SupportAssist with filing, data entry, and general administrative tasks within the finance department. Support senior accountants and management as needed. Required Qualifications & Skills EducationDiploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (preferred). SkillsBasic understanding of accounting principles and financial procedures. Proficiency in MS Excel and g sheet Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail. Good communication and organizational skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Experience 2-5 years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience
