Accessibility SME / Architect - T1 Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Accessibility Testing Architect / Accessibility Testing SME to ensure that our digital products and platforms are accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of accessibility standards and testing methodologies. 11+ years of experience in Accessibility Testing Methodologies / Tools Key Responsibilities: Lead the accessibility testing strategy for web and mobile applications. Conduct manual and automated accessibility testing for websites, apps, and software. Evaluate digital products against WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) and other relevant accessibility standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, QA, UX/UI) to ensure accessibility best practices are implemented. Provide technical guidance on accessibility tools, frameworks, and testing techniques. Develop and maintain accessibility testing documentation, checklists, and guidelines. Perform audits and assessments of digital products to ensure compliance with accessibility laws (e.g., ADA, Section 508). Identify, report, and track accessibility defects, ensuring timely resolution. Stay updated on the latest accessibility trends, technologies, and regulatory changes. Work with product owners and designers to ensure accessibility is prioritized during product development. Work with third-party accessibility audit services when necessary. Ensure that testing includes a variety of disabilities, such as visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive impairments. Integrate accessibility testing into CI/CD pipelines. Collaborate with external stakeholders to ensure product accessibility requirements are met. Create accessibility compliance reports for stakeholders and management. Develop strategies for testing diverse assistive technologies (e.g., screen readers, voice recognition software). Ensure accessibility testing tools and environments are properly configured and maintained. Review user feedback and recommend improvements based on accessibility insights. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Strong knowledge of WCAG, ADA, Section 508, and other accessibility regulations. Mandatory: Experience with accessibility testing tools (e.g., Axe, WAVE, Lighthouse, NVDA, JAWS, Funkify, ARC toolkit, Color contrast Analyzer). Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other front-end technologies. Experience working with assistive technologies (e.g., screen readers, magnifiers).
