Reports To: Branch Manager

Job Summary:

The Academic Counsellor will be responsible for guiding prospective students in making informed academic and career decisions. This role involves counseling students, managing admissions processes, mentoring junior counsellors, and ensuring student satisfaction through professional guidance. The position requires strong communication skills, target orientation, and the ability to build long-term relationships with students and parents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Counsel students and parents regarding courses, career options, and admissions procedures.
• Guide students in selecting the right program based on their academic background, aptitude, and career aspirations.
• Manage end-to-end admissions process including follow-ups, documentation, and conversions.
• Achieve individual and team admission/enrollment targets.
• Conduct presentations, webinars, and counseling sessions (one-on-one & group).
• Build and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and institutions.
• Provide training, guidance, and support to junior academic counsellors.
• Track and report daily, weekly, and monthly counseling performance metrics.
• Maintain updated knowledge of academic programs, competitive institutions, and industry trends.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Management, or related field.
• 1–3 years of proven experience as an Academic Counsellor or in a similar role.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and achieve admission targets.
• Good organizational and mentoring skills to guide junior counsellors.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM/ERP systems.

Preferred Skills:

• Counseling certification or training background.
• Experience in EdTech / Higher Education institutions.
• Multilingual communication ability will be an added advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
